Even in these economic times, we see how important it is for Santa, Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, husbands, wives, boyfriends, and girlfriends to be able to give the perfect gift. We also know that A LOT of wish lists today -- for all ages -- include a range of video games. Then there are some that have been waiting patiently on getting their Wii -- waiting on the right deal and the right time. Well, this weekend we're planning to make a little "Wii History" ...so to speak.

Starting this Saturday, our stores will be offering a $50 gift card with the purchase of the $199 Nintendo Wii.  (Yes, the gift card right can be used right away on the next purchase.)  On top of that…all month thru Christmas Eve we've rolled back the prices on many top 2009 games. So not only can you buy a Wii and get a $50 gift card…you can use that card immediately to purchase games like Madden 2010, Tiger PGA 2010 (my husband’s favorite), Lego Rock Band (my boys favorite), Rock Band Beatles (Grandpa’s favorite) and many more for less.

We've been planning for this event for some time, and the gaming team here is really excited about it.  We've selected a range of top games in 2009 to Rollback the prices on for the holiday season, and not just Wii, great games for PS3 and 360 as well.  One of my personal favorites is Tekken 6, on both PS3 and 360.  Halo: ODST will be only $50.  While I can't list them all, I assure you there are some SUPER surprises in stores -- games you may love to be surprised to see are included!  We love giving happy surprises this time of year!

Just saw their press release and it says that most of the same games are reduced in price on their site but the Wii offer is not available on Walmart.com -- only in stores. Looks as if Walmart.com has other Wii bundles and specials, and typically they do e-cards.

What time on Saturday does this start?  Is it at midnight, or 5:00 a.m. like Black Friday?

Get in line at 6 AM though because they sell out quick at 8 AM.  Also, the deal is going on until December 12th or as long as supplies last.  I would just get it early.

Just checked with Walmart. They said more shipments of Wii are coming into stores early this week. It's US only and runs though this Saturday while supplies last. (no rain checks)

Senator Huckabee, said on Friday on the Gleen Beck show that if you want to get emergency supplies and people to a disaster area have Walmart do it because they seem to be able to get in there first
