Unless you've been hiding in outer space, you have at least heard the name "Hannah Montana" aka Miley Cyrus.  Whether it's hearing her songs on the radio, watching her show on the Disney channel or seeing her grace the cover of US Weekly- you know who she is.  If you're tripping over her dolls laying on the family room floor or just a really big Billy Ray Cyrus fan, you know what she does.

Hannah Montana is one of the few teenage stars whose name is not clouded by a scandal (don't jinx it!).  She has become a phenomenon the world hasn't seen since the likes of the Beatles....and she is partnering with Wal-Mart

Wal-Mart has become the destination for all things Hannah.  From dolls and games to apparel, shoes, music and more, it can all be found at your local Wal-Mart store.  Many of our stores even have a Hannah "shop" set up in the apparel section.  We also did a promotion with her hugely successful movie release to give Wal-Mart customers a little extra Hannah that they can't find anywhere else.  There are tons of other exclusive Hannah products that are available now or coming out in the next few months.

Her concert tickets may go for over $1,500, but you can get the next best thing at Wal-Mart for less than the cost of a down payment on a house.

You have got to be kidding me.  Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus has a very large following among teenage girls.  The Beatles had a huge following among everybody under 50.

Hi Danielle,

This has NOTHING to do with Hannah Montana, but you are shown as the puzzle buyer for Walmart, so...I'm requesting an article on jigsaw puzzles.  I develop jigsaw puzzles for a living (how many other people can say that?) - you can check out my blog if you like.  It's funny enough to be worth your while.  Not many of my puzzles make it into Wal-Mart, but the category is sure to become increasingly important this year as people look for reasonably priced, high value gifts - hope so, anyway!

That's my request - hope you'll give it some thought.  Thanks.

Don

More evil branding aimed at children. You can't even buy diapers anymore without a recognized, marketable character. There's even a Spongebob Squarepants rectal thermomter out there. You can't find a sippie cup without Dora, Elmo or some other inane character.

Good grief.  That SpongeBob "rectal thermometer" is just a normal digital thermometer.  Why complain that it, like any other digital thermometer, happens to be able to be used rectally as well?

Not sure why there are complaints about "evil branding" being aimed at children NOW; why is this so shocking?  I grew up in an era when every consumer product could be purchased with Snoopy on it; my parents grew up in an era where every children's product was emblazoned with Howdy Doody.  And, looking in any "Disney collectibles" book will show a plethora of Mickey Mouse goods that are older yet.  Hope you didn't get Flintstones vitamins (dating from the 1960s), Donald Duck juice (1930s), or any other licensed product while growing up.

She is not and will never be bigger than The Beatles. To kids she might be great, but they are 10 and dont understand good music.

Besides, I doubt a movie will be made where they only play Hannah Montana songs...well, a movie that is worth watching.
