On Sunday much of our team is going to Las Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). This is one of the largest trade shows in the country and really an event to which we look forward. Here, we get to see new stuff that is coming out for this year and beyond. This year, they are supposed to be showing some really interesting gaming things. Rumors abound on the 'net about an HD DVD baked into the Xbox 360. Personally, it looks like that might be too little, too late for those in the HD DVD camp. Sales are showing that Blu-Ray has a pretty comfortable worldwide lead. It may be that Microsoft is hoping for extending the battle for another round with the hope that downloadable HD becomes a reality. Another discussion centers around the addition of Skype via the Playstation Portable. This sounds like a great addition to the world. As always, new consumer electronics in the form of televisions, MP3 players, satellite radio and other technologies will dominate the show. Apple, while they will not be there, has rumors of some slick ultraportables and larger capacity iPhones. Seems that my first generation iPhone may become old soon. That is always the case with technology, it changes quickly and we need to be on top of it to adapt. We hope to do some blogging there to keep you informed about the latest stuff and developments. 	We saw those as well. Some really cool surround sound speakers that looked like lamps! What a way to hide surround sound. The fidelity was pretty good as well. As a matter of fact, Sam's already has rear channel WIRELESS speakers as a part of a home theater system from BOSE and SONY. Click on the names to see them. REALLY COOL STUFF!
