OK, had enough of the Feats of Strength and the Airing of the Grievances for this Festivus? Me too! Hopefully, all went well and the jolly fat man brought you what you wanted and not what you really deserved. Yeah, he knows when you are sleeping, awake, bad and good etc… Sounds a lot like a North Pole version of the CIA or the IRS. Anyhoo, did you get the good stuff this year? Did you get the games and accessories you REALLY wanted?

Well, my wife asked me to NOT buy a couple of games, so I had an inkling that they were coming. She came through. Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction was under the aluminum pole yesterday morning and did not disappoint. Insomniac had made one of the best launch games for the PS3 in Resistance: Fall of Man. They do not disappoint in this E10 rated game. It looks like it came out of a Pixar movie. It is hard to tell the cut scenes from the actual game play as both look spectacular. It is only a 720P game but really looks solid on our 71” 1080p DLP screen. Seems the boys at Insomniac know how to get the most out of blu-ray and cell processor technology. Again, they do not disappoint. Fans of the series are familiar with the team. If you are not, do not worry, you are brought up to speed quickly as you take the duo on an adventure to unlock the mysteries of Ratchet’s Lombax origins (he’s the one that kind of looks like a Space Fox, Clank is the robot thingamajig). Nonetheless, it is a great game that shows off the capabilities of the PS3 hardware and is fun for all ages. You can check out a trailer here. If that is not enough to get you going, there is a downloadable demo available on the PlayStattion Network at the Store. Well, we have to put the pole back in the crawlspace as per tradition. So as soon as that is completed, it is more gaming for me. Hope you got some goodies as well. What did you get and give this year with regard to games and gadgets?

It looks like the blog did not take the links I put in on my Macintosh. All of the links and "RETURN KEYS" are missing. Well, at least the punctuation made it :-). I will have to update this when I get back to the office next week on a peecee. If only our computers could live in peace and harmony...

OK, I snuck into work today to get on the peecee and make the changes. It was a vacation day, but thought I would take care of you, dear readers, so you could check it out! Take care and have a happy New Year.
