One of the perks of being a toy buyer is getting to see very cool stuff very early. It makes my head ache a little to know I am buying toys for next Christmas before this one is over. Time to break out the crystal ball!
I have seen a few items already that I am willing to place my bets on early. How about an interactive pet dinosaur? I had a weird facsination with dinos as a child (I know, dinosaurs, ballet and Barbie really don't mix but I seemed to have turned out okay) so I can think of nothing better than to have my very own as a pet. There may be some territorial issues initially with the cat, but that can all be worked out in time. What about toys that can interact with your favorite websites and your friends when you're not in front of the computer? Forget Webkinz, this is so much cooler (especially for a retailer).
Reach deep into your childhood and let me know what you would have liked to play with. I'm still a little bitter that PowerWheels came out when I was too big to fit in the seat. For some reason, driving a miniature battery operated vehicle is so much more appealing than driving a real one.
What should be under the tree next year?
